1. The municipal general valuation refers to the municipality’s valuation of each and every property in that municipality. The municipality valuates each property as the property rates and taxes are based on the market value of the property.
Municipal valuations of property are governed by the Municipal Property Rates Act of 2004 (“the Act”) which came into operation during 2005.Prior to the Act coming into operation, municipal valuations were governed by the Local Authorities Rating Ordinance of 1977.

Restraint of trade clauses are found in agreements where a business is sold as a sale of a going concern, partnership agreements and, most frequently, in employment agreements. Be that as it may, the restraint of trade doctrine is one which developed many years ago and is based on law of contract.
